Being Less Stressed
I'm the worst at being stressed ok- I become literally the worst version of myself. I can't help it. I'll always be envious of the people who thrive under pressure, but I understand that my tolerance for it is super low. So I've developed some tactics to keep me from reaching my stress threshold, check them out!

First, I check to see if what I'm stressing about affects my values and priorities.
There are so many times that I was panicking over something that didn't even matter to me. Realizing this helps pull some of the pressure off the situation, and can help you refocus on what does matter (i.e. not losing your shit over the little things). If you aren't sure of your values and priorities, I have a whole guide on how to decide what they are, and an in-depth webinar on getting to know yourself better, if you need!
Second, I regularly check my internal thermometer.
It is our jobs, as adults, to know when we are reaching our limits and when we need to step away from the situation. It's not fair to ourselves, or anyone else, to put us through the repercussions of a breakdown when it could've been avoided by just taking a moment to check in with ourselves. There is no shame in needing to walk away for a moment and collect yourself. Alternatively, if you're in a situation that you can't step away from (a meeting, out with your dogs, etc.), you can specify a light at the end of the tunnel. The meeting you're in (or even your entire work day) is going to end, eventually the dogs and you will all be home and you can breathe, whatever it is. Work with yourself here, this takes practice, but even if you do it once out of the three times you lose your cool this week, that is better than zero!
Third, and lastly, I know what works for me to de-stress.
I know that "learn what works for you" is the oldest advice on the internet, but I'm willing to bet a pretty penny you haven't looked into what actually does this work. For example, I know so many people who, when they're overwhelmed, feel better by immediately cleaning up their surroundings. However, if I did that, I would probably go into a catatonic rage immediately after I dropped something (which would be inevitable), so that would not be a good choice for me, but it might work for you! There are plenty of de-stressing tips out there, a good scroll on Pinterest will give you so many ideas ☀️
And those are what works for me!
I hope they help you out too. If you want more stress management, we're having a webinar on Saturday 10/11, where I go in depth into how to be less stressed & how to handle it when you are stressed, join our discord to watch!
With love,
Zoey
